2023 Institutional financial audit report

Trust is the foundation of any human rights organization. At the A.D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Centre, we believe that transparency regarding our finances is just as important as our advocacy in the courtroom.

Today, we are publishing the results of our 2023 Institutional Audit, conducted by AMH Audit CJSC (a member of the HLB Global Network).

The independent audit confirms that our financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Organization as of December 31, 2023.

  • Revenue & Support: In 2023, our operations were supported by 148,458,000 AMD in grant income, allowing us to maintain our headquarters and four vital regional branches.
  • Efficient Management: The audit highlights our disciplined approach to project expenses, ensuring that every Dram donated by partners like Bread for the World and UNHCR goes directly toward protecting human rights.
  • Sustainable Growth: Despite the expiration of our head office lease in mid-2024, our robust financial planning and new cooperation agreements (including a recent 50,000 EUR project) ensure that our mission continues without interruption.

Our “Qualified Opinion” from independent auditors is a badge of honor. It tells our donors, the Armenian government, and the citizens we serve that the Sakharov Centre operates with the highest international standards of accounting and accountability.
