Glossary of Terms
Centre – “The A.D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Centre” non-governmental organisation.

Beneficiary – Any individual providing personal data to the Centre.

Personal Data – Any information identifying a Beneficiary, including but not limited to names, contact information, and service-related details.

1. Data Controller
   The Centre is the data controller under applicable Armenian legislation and is responsible for collecting, processing, storing, and safeguarding personal data.
2. Lawful Basis for Processing
   Personal data is processed solely for the provision of Services, complaint management, and operational improvement. Processing is based on the Beneficiary’s consent or on legal obligations under Armenian law.
3. Data Collection and Purpose
   The Centre collects only personal data necessary to provide Services and respond to inquiries. Data will not be collected for unrelated purposes.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
   Personal data will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except when disclosure is required by law, judicial process, or regulatory authority.
5. Data Security
   The Centre implements appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
6. Data Retention
   Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with legal obligations.
7. Beneficiary Rights
   • Beneficiaries have the right to:
   • Access their personal data;
   • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
   • Request deletion of personal data where permitted by law;
   • Withdraw consent to processing where applicable.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
   This Policy is governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Armenia. Any disputes relating to personal data processing shall be subject to the courts of the Republic of Armenia.
