2022 Annual programmatic report

As we reflect on the milestones of 2022, the “A.D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Centre” NGO continues to stand as a pillar of advocacy and support in Armenia. From legal aid to the empowerment of the next generation of leaders, our annual report highlights a year of resilience and dedicated service.

One of the core pillars of the Sakharov Centre is providing accessible legal support. In 2022, the organization provided free legal consultations to 4,312 citizens. These services, offered through our Yerevan headquarters and regional branches, ensured that vulnerable populations had the guidance necessary to navigate complex legal landscapes.

Education is the catalyst for long-term change. Our Civil Society Schools (CSS) in Gyumri, Gavar, and Goris welcomed 1,005 participants this year. By training students in human rights and civic engagement, we are investing in a future where every citizen feels empowered to participate in the democratic process.

“The mission remains clear: to protect fundamental freedoms and promote a robust democratic system across all regions of Armenia.”
