“The A. D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Centre” NGO has launched a new project: Involving Youth in Local Governance in Armenia(UDF-23-988-ARM), supported by the UN Democracy Fund.
The project aims to empower youth in rural communities by enhancing their capacity for leadership, good governance, and human rights protection. It will establish six active youth groups across three regions, ensuring gender equality, and conduct a participatory assessment of community needs. Based on this, a report with actionable recommendations will be created. The project will also implement six community development initiatives, driven by the youth groups, to create inclusive and socially vibrant spaces in each community.
