On August 30, the official opening of an outdoor cinema pavilion took place in the Khot administrative district of the Tatev community. The initiative was carried out under the project “Involving Youth in Local Governance in Armenia” (UDF-23-988-ARM), funded with financial support from the UN Democracy Fund (UNDEF).
The event was attended by the Head of the Khot administrative district, Grigor Karapetyan, staff members of the administrative district, as well as representatives from the Tatev Community Centre, Khot Basic School, and the local kindergarten.
Members of the active youth group played a pivotal role throughout the creation of the cinema pavilion. They were actively involved in various stages of the project, contributing their ideas, labor, and initiative.
During the ceremony, the youth were presented with certificates acknowledging their participation, alongside small stationery gifts given in anticipation of the new academic year.
Special gratitude was expressed to Grigor Karapetyan, Head of the Khot administrative district, for his dedicated work and personal financial support toward the realization of this initiative. He was awarded a letter of appreciation.
During the gathering, young participants shared their achievements and the valuable experience gained throughout the project. It was especially encouraging to see new youth express their desire to actively participate in upcoming events at the cinema pavilion and to initiate their own community projects.
We are confident that the Khot outdoor cinema pavilion will become a cherished gathering space for local youth—a hub for new ideas, film screenings, and vibrant community life.
