This study presents the current opportunities, legal frameworks, and practical programs within Armenia’s scholarship system. The document covers the procedures for awarding state and private scholarships, evaluation criteria, as well as the support offered by international and local foundations.
Special attention is paid to:
- Legal acts approved by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Education that define the criteria for awarding scholarships.
- Scholarship programs of higher education institutions.
- Support from diaspora and international organizations—specifically the scholarship programs of AGBU, Luys, Gulbenkian, FAST, COAF, Synopsys Armenia, Picsart, and other foundations.
- Data analysis showing the level of scholarship accessibility, student participation percentages, and funding volumes.
Conclusion: Scholarship opportunities in Armenia are diverse but require a coordinated approach and greater transparency. It also highlights the importance of international cooperation in order to create new opportunities for students.
