On March 4, 2026, a session of the Youth Council under the Goris community mayor was held at the ACAS Goris Youth Center.
During the session, active youth of the community presented the projects they developed. The presented projects were developed within the framework of the “Involving Youth in Local Self-Government in Armenia” project, which is implemented by the Goris branch of “The A.D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Centre” NGO.
Within the framework of the project, many active young people, including members of the Youth Council under the Goris Mayor, participated in trainings, acquired new knowledge and developed their own initiatives.
The meeting was attended by the project manager of the “VINNET Goris” Development Foundation, the youth project coordinator, as well as the project manager of the French partner organization Secours Populaire, who actively participated in the discussions.
As a result of the voting following the presentation of the projects, the initiative was selected, which will be implemented in the near future. During the session, it was also decided that the Youth Council under the Goris Mayor and the volunteers of the ACAS Goris Youth Center will support the implementation of the winning project and ensure the continuity of the project.
The session was held in a very warm, constructive and meaningful atmosphere, full of ideological discussions, joint responsibility and commitment to active cooperation.
